Privacy Policy

DeckSync does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data. Your slides never leave your device except over a local network connection that you initiate. The only internet traffic is your App Store subscription purchase, handled entirely by Apple.

1. Who we are

DeckSync is developed and published by Kojex ("we", "us"). This policy applies to the DeckSync app for iOS and iPadOS.

2. Data we collect

None. DeckSync has no backend servers, no analytics, no crash reporting SDKs, and no third-party libraries. We do not collect, process, or store any personal information.

3. How the app works

DeckSync uses Apple's Multipeer Connectivity framework to connect nearby devices. Depending on conditions, data may travel over Bluetooth LE, Apple's peer-to-peer Wi-Fi radio, or the local Wi-Fi network your devices are connected to. All three paths stay on your local network. None reach the internet or any DeckSync server. All traffic is encrypted by Apple's DTLS transport and requires explicit user action to initiate.

PDF files are stored on your device. When you present, the app may transmit a copy to connected viewer devices over your local network so they can follow along.
Presentation sessions operate entirely over your local network. No presentation content passes through the internet or any DeckSync server.
Session PINs are stored locally on your device and are never transmitted to any DeckSync server. During session join, the PIN you enter is sent to the presenting device over your local network for verification.

4. Subscriptions and payments

DeckSync offers an optional subscription managed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or have access to your payment information, Apple ID, or billing details. Apple's privacy policy governs all purchase transactions.

5. Third-party services

DeckSync uses zero third-party SDKs. The only external service involved is the Apple App Store for purchases, which is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

6. Children's privacy

DeckSync does not collect data from anyone, including children under 13. Because no personal information is collected, the app is compliant with COPPA and similar regulations by design.

7. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the effective date above. Because we collect no data, meaningful changes are unlikely.
